What people actually ask.
- Why is one of the tiers called "Clan"?
- A clan in kanNINJA is the group of people you share boards with. A wedding party. A soccer team. A gaming group. The Clan tier is for life — the people you live and play with, not the people you go to work with.
- What counts as an AI run?
- One run = one of our AI features — plan my week, generate cards from a brain dump, summarize a board. Quotas reset monthly except on Free, where 50 runs is a lifetime taste so you can feel the value before you pay.
- Does using kanNINJA from Claude or ChatGPT count toward my AI runs?
- No. When an external agent calls kanNINJA tools through MCP, it uses your LLM, not ours. We rate-limit MCP calls per minute to prevent abuse, but there is no monthly cap. Use it as much as you want.
- What happens when I hit my seat limit?
- On Pro and Business, additional seats are billed at $4 and $6 respectively — no upgrade required. On Free and Clan, you'll need to move up a tier. Your boards stay where they are. Nobody loses access mid-week.
- Can I downgrade later?
- Yes. The features you upgraded for stop working at the next billing cycle. Your data stays put.
- Where does the AI run?
- Routed to OpenAI's gpt-4o-mini. We never train models on your data. We don't log what you ask.
- Do you import from other kanban tools?
- Not yet. Import is real work and we'd rather build the things you came here for first. For now, the manual copy from your old board is two evenings of work — we won't pretend otherwise.
- Is there a yearly discount?
- Two months free if you pay annually. That is the discount. No coupons, no founder badges, no first-year-only pricing.
- Can I self-host?
- Not yet. The whole product is months old. The infrastructure to make it self-hostable is real work and it is not the next thing on the list.
